I would like to thank Eric and his team for doing a stellar job on our floor tile and fireplace redo. I do a lot of construction work and I know what a good tile job looks like. These guys excelled! The job was to re-tile the floor in the whole house except for two of the four bedrooms. Also Eric remodeled the fireplace by squaring up the opening and putting stone ledger panels from floor to ceiling. Here are some of my comments:

1. Since the existing flooring was saltillo, the removal was tough but somehow Eric kept the place clean enough for us to remain in the house by isolating areas and keeping the worksite very clean.

2. The new tile install looked great! Nice, even, small grout lines. Attention to detail was paid in areas where there were changes in elevation and at the entrance. All the new tile was carefully installed so it was flat and precisely cut around door jambs.

3. The fireplace turned out beautiful. Much care was taken in cutting and installing the ledger stone panels, but also installing the vein cut travertine on the base of the fireplace. It was nicely done with carefully polished, radiused edges, and nice mitre joints at the edges of the bench.

4. Eric bent over backwards to answer questions and respond to our special requests. Also the team was always prompt and worked steadily until the job was done.

In summary, I would highly recommend Eric for any of your tile needs! We are happy we finally did this remodel. It makes the house look updated and beautiful. Eric made this construction experience really easy to tolerate.

My wife and I had terrible luck with some renovations that we were wanting to do in our den. The first contractor turned out not to be licensed, and he ended up not knowing how to do nearly everything he claimed he could. The result was an uneven concrete floor, with points as high as one inch above the rest of the floor. After many headaches, we were unable to find anyone willing to fix what had been done. One or two would say they could fix it, and then back out less than a week before the job was set to begin.

Eric was recommended by another contractor, and right off the bat displayed amazing customer service, professionalism, and above all, treated me and my wife with respect. He was able to get in and start the job in a reasonable amount of time, and finished quickly as well. He made me and my wife aware of each step he was taking, and was open about the very reasonable costs. Once the work was finished, he called me home to inspect it. It was perfect. He took something too complicated for most contractors to even attempt, and made it simple, even pain-free for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Eric to anyone in need of a contractor, and I can’t say enough about his outstanding customer service.

Working with Eric and his team on a large tile installation in our home was a great experience from start to finish. He did a total demolition of most of the flooring in our home and installed large rectangular tiles throughout. He also installed plank style tiles on the walls surrounding a bathtub. The work he did was exceptional and the outcome was beyond what we expected. In addition, Eric made the process totally stress free. He was always available to answer any questions we had, and took care of our home and belongings as if they were his own.

Eric was our contractor on three large jobs at our home. He did a tumbled travertine subway tile backsplash in our kitchen, a complete fireplace redo with stackstone and raised hearth, and a custom stackstone BBQ island/bar on our patio. In all his projects the area was kept clean, the work was done expertly and the results were beautiful! We even trusted him to access our home to do the work while we were on vacation without the slightest concern! Eric is courteous, professional and really listens to what it is you are looking for. We would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family or to anyone looking for top-notch work with beautiful results!

Eric was always concerned with fixing the problem in the most expeditious and economical way, yet explaining to me the possible consequences of patch repairs.  We finally agreed to remove all tile in close to 1600 sq. feet of the house and begin anew.  I watched at every stage and noticed how meticulous and detailed his work was.  He is extremely disciplined and organized.  Salvaged tiles were always cleaned on all sides (removing old grout and adhesives), placed in neat little stacks.  And the same for all the new tiles brought in.  The demolition work was enormous, and dusty but he took great pains to keep walls and all areas very clean, by papering half of the walls up to 4 feet from the ground, in order to minimize clean up for the painters who came after.

Eric and crew began work at 5:00 a.m., and many days worked into the night.  He kept to the promised scheduled, was always courteous, polite, and very patient with my questions and fears about mounting costs.  Once we agreed on a price, he never varied from it.  I will forever be grateful for Eric’s work, his professionalism, and for the very polished finished work he delivered.  Grout lines were always aligned, grout was sealed to last for decades (using a permanent stain applied to the grout.  Border floor moldings were removed, salvaged to perfection and re installed as new work!!!

Eric is meticulous and takes great pride in his work.  I like to have the client work with him on the design stage of the project. His experience and extensive knowledge allow him to offer suggestions and ideas to help the owner decide on a design or he can give them a couple of options to choose from.

Eric understands timelines and sets realistic ones and will do what it takes to meet them. He has a professional crew that will come in, set up, do the work and leave the site cleaner than they found it.

I have yet to have a client that hasn’t loved the work Eric has done or Eric himself. I get a lot of repeat work and a big part of that is due to the quality of Eric’s work. As I said at the beginning there is no one else I would use.

Finally, Eric is an artist, with a good understanding of matching colors and shapes to make a pleasing composition. If he bids on a job, you know it will be done expeditiously and to your satisfaction.

I knew he’d be on time, finish in a timely manner, leave a clean job site and a very happy customer! Eric has the integrity we all want in the people we work with, but so often find missing these days. He’s the best example of old world ‘craftsmanship’ we are all looking for.
